This week on Thursday, Nov 5, Seattle City Council will meet to consider budget amendments for the City’s 2027-2028 budget. Councilmember Rob Saka has introduced proposed amendments to the city budget in response to community feedback that would fund public traffic-monitoring cameras, safer cleaner public spaces, improved lighting, and restored recreational programming.

Please join us to support your community and these budget amendments!

Sign the Alki Community petition with over 100 of your neighbors to urge City Council and Mayor Wilson to approve these amendments.

Candidate Forum

Thank you all for attending our candidate forum on Oct. 15th. The meeting was a huge success, and we heard many great responses to our community questions from the candidates.

Unfortunately, due to camera issues, we only have a recording of the first Q&A session between Joe Fitzgibbon and Mary Anito, who are campaigning for the WA State House, 34th District, Position 2. If the other sessions become available, we will post them as well.

Alki Holiday Lights

This year's Alki Holiday Lights event will be held Friday, November 27th, from 6-9 p.m. Come join us for an evening of treats, games, and more on Alki Avenue between 57th and 63rd.

The highlight of the event will be the Argosy performance, scheduled for Alki Beach from 8:35-8:55pm.

We are also looking for volunteers to help set up lights, assist with treats, and clean up. To sign up, please use our volunteer form.

Statue of Liberty Repair Fund

Thank you, donors! We've reached the funding goal to repair the statue.

While we've reached the goal, we will continue to accept contributions through the end of the United States’ 250th anniversary year to support ongoing maintenance of the Statue of Liberty.

Help Restore Alki's Statue of Liberty

Preserve a Beloved Landmark Alki’s little Statue of Liberty has had a surprisingly eventful life and needs the community’s help once more.
